Illness film | first draft

Here's a script I wrote to my camera operator/ editor, and the one I followed throughout the shoot.
Ultimately, the actual film turned out a little different but because we got rid of something that didn't fit the idea visually and added extra footage.

 I APPEARANCE

-seaside-

water view/ seaside/waves

she is coming out of waters

she is lying on the seashore

her feet close-up move towards the shore, coming from the water

her full length body/general view/she is standing looking into the camera

>>>editing from one location to another/smoothed by the feet moving by the seaside CLOSE-up engaging the whole shot>>and then the same feet making the following step onto the forest ground

-forest scene-

she looks like a naked muse or a forest fairy/needs a proper styling/hippie/mysterious vibe

she suddenly turns around worried/close-up

his face/portrait-shot /he is dressed normally

she comes up to him

general view/ from the profile/ the look at each other/ she puts her hand on his chest leaning her body towards him

close-up/she is worried

she tries to look what’s under his jacket

the viewer sees there’s (close-up shot of her fingers trying to reach his shirt underneath the jacket) blood

he looks annoyed and forces her hand to get away from there, and he zips up his jacket

she is confused

he takes her hand

they’re both suddenly dressed (frontal look towards the camera now)

he looks at her

-seaside location-

her face close-up opposite the sea

-forest-

 he smiles/close-up

-seaside-

she smiles/close-up

-on the beech-

her eyes /face

(she’s lying on the ground)

editing allows the foiled stars appear on her cheers, while she starts smiling wider 

-beach-

the couple is running into the scene

they dance

slow motion

(black figures dressed in Alex Groover hopefully)

-beach-

waves

-beach-

them standing still

-the V-shaped glass scene

-close-up of the glass and his hand pouring red wine 

his smile close up

her smile

II SYNTHESIS

forest

she is dancing to his guitar tunes,

dressed in black Alex Groover styled clothes

mixing elements

i.e.sand and metal pieces, etc

-random location-

building works

cement being mixed

-beach-

they stand in front of the camera and the items of clothes start disappearing and appearing once from her then from him/playful change

-beach-

dancing

-they plant a flower on the beach (stone-beach preferably but whatever)

-plant is growing-

-LIVERPOOL STR STATION-

fast-forwarded movement of the crowd traveling up the stairs and throughout the station

escalators

etc

-beach-

flower

them dancing

-

-beach-

they sit opposite each other and there’s this flower in-between them two

flower

it gradually starts getting covered with foil from the roots to its’ very petals 

-beach-

them dancing and then it starts going reverse

then it gets slow motion

then really slow motion

-beach-

she passes by a piece of foil

he unwraps it

there’s her heart

he looks at her with a serious face

=ALL THE SCENES OF THE EPISODE GO REVERSE REAL QUICK FROM THAT MOMENT=

III REACTION

-forest/or the same beach flower area?-

he has a sip

he stops (it’s all a bit slow motion, Maya Deren style)

he looks at his white shirt

she looks at him in hope and fear

he takes a step back

superslow motion/ her face in pure fear/ desolated eyes

<sound change >

<we may add the scene of something random falling down into the ocean, like a piano? like a telly, whatever works. should be taken from a tv programme so it looks a bit VHS’y >

her face in despair

general view/profile shot:

she’s stretching her arms trying to reach him again

her and him close-up

general shot:

they are force to walk backwards as in despite their desire, but it’s her wanting to get close to him, and him going with the air flow, taking steps back

-forest-

they move towards, and there’s foil coming from his mouth to hers

-beach-

She’s falling down after feeling chest pain

she’s crawling towards the sea

close-up of her exhausted face looking at the sea

-beach-

she starts caughing 

and then puking with a float of foil 

and then it gets longer and longer and goes round in spiral (gotta find a carcass/frame/construct, something bendable to wrap foild around it)

and then she’s all alone on the beach covered with foil
